Discipleship

Training up and equipping believers is an essential purpose of the church. We believe God gives leaders to the church for the purpose of equipping “the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Eph. 4:12). Our discipleship efforts seek to equip believers to minister in their homes, church, and community.

Current Discipleship Opportunities

Whole Church

Sunday School: This is an adults’ study time currently going through The Whole Christ by Sinclair Ferguson

09:00 Each Sunday Morning

Tuesday Night Bible Study: A time of studying God’s Word. Currently we are in Ephesians. Afterwards there is a time of fellowship over food.

17:30 Each Tuesday Evening

Men

We believe that godly men are essential for strong households, churches, and societies. “As the man goes, so goes the household. As the household goes, so goes the church” (Michael Foster). ABC seeks to equip men to lead well as they follow their Lord Jesus Christ. To that end we do the following:

Monthly Men’s Event: Time of Study and Fellowship

The Third Friday Night of the Month at 18:30

Men’s Leadership Course: Semester-long course for potential elders or others interested in Christian ministry

Women

Women have an important role in the local church as wives, mothers, daughters, and sisters. Healthy societies are built off of the faithful, often unseen, work of godly women. The kingdom impact of godly women is profound and we seek to equip our ladies to follow God in their different callings.

Women’s Book Study: Every week women meet to encourage and edify one another as they go through a book on biblical womanhood.

09:30 Every Wednesday Morning

Women’s Events: Once a quarter the women gather for fellowship and fun.

Children

Children’s Sunday School: Children 0-6th Grade have an opportunity to be taught God’s Word

09:00 Every Sunday Morning

One on One

One on One Discipleship: We offer the opportunity to meet one on one either with an elder or another mature believer and go through the book Visual Theology by Tim Challies.
